Brighton Live 2005

Brighton LiveBRIGHTON LIVE 3rd - 9th October 2005 is a grassroots festival showcasing the South Coast's best musical talent and celebrating the thriving music scene of this vibrant seaside city. This annual festival of local new and unsigned bands and musicians, takes place over one week in October.

It is organised by the Brighton Music Network: a not-for-profit membership organisation seeking to represent the whole of the local music sector from radio stations to labels, venues to musicians.

Brighton Live incorporates a live showcase for the public and a professional development programme with formal and informal networking opportunities for those working in the Brighton music scene.

Launched in 2004, Brighton Live is produced by local radio station Juice 107.2, Lout Promotions and Melting Vinyl in association with Brighton Music Network, working with 25 local grassroots promoters, record companies and agents.

The success of last year's event consolidated the fledgling Brighton Music Network.

The PRS Foundation award for Brighton Live 2005 will go towards administration, venue hire, flyer and poster print and design, musician and sound engineer expenses and booking speakers for industry seminars.
