Vacancy: Foundation Director

PRS Foundation logoPRS Foundation for New Music
Director (maternity cover)

£30k - £35k full-time; based in central London.

The PRS Foundation for New Music (PRSF) is a refreshingly approachable and adventurous funding body. As the UK's largest independent funder purely for new music, the Foundation supports a huge range of new music activity - everything from unsigned band showcases to composer residencies, from ground-breaking commissions to live electronica. In 2008, this will amount to £1.3m across all genres of music. You can find out more about the PRS Foundation’s work throughout this site.

This is a unique opportunity to make an important cultural contribution to the UK’s new music scene. It is a stimulating role which combines a strong ‘outward-facing’ element with key financial and staff management responsibilities. We are looking for someone who wants to make a contribution to the world of new music and is excited at the prospect of working with the many organisations PRSF supports.

The Director leads a small team of 3 other committed people and reports to the Chairman of the Foundation. The post-holder is in frequent contact with organisations and individuals throughout the wider music industry, other funders, composers across all musical genres, along with Foundation Trustees and advisors.
