Creative Music Residency at London College of Fashion

The PRS Foundation (PRSF) and London College of Fashion (LCF) are pleased to announce a new opportunity for a composer, creative musician or producer to work in residence at London College of Fashion alongside MA fashion students.

London College of FashionThis residency is designed to explore the interdependent relationship between music and fashion and how the two disciplines are inextricably linked.

The resident will work alongside MA Fashion students investigating the role that music can play in the fashion design process. They will have the opportunity to pursue their own creative work as well as having the chance to present original music at LCF for the benefit of all students.

The resident will also work with the MA students to present their final fashion show and will be given the opportunity to write original music for a new, conceptual fashion show which will be developed in partnership with other MA Students at LCF.

This opportunity has been developed between LCF and The PRS Foundation to provide a new and exciting opportunity for fashion students London College of Fashionand a composer, creative musician or producer to fully explore the relationship between fashion and music. It is hoped that the residency will inform how fashion designers use and apply music in their future work. The residency is co-funded by LCF and the PRS Foundation.

This residency is available to experienced composers, creative musicians or producers from any genre.

The deadline for applications is 30th September 2005.

The PRS Foundation is a particularly significant force in supporting creatively adventurous and pioneering musical activity. The PRS Foundation's main aims are to stimulate and support the creation and performance of new music in the UK and to help audiences understand and enjoy the new music they experience.
