Graduate Placement

The PRS Foundation is the UK’s only independent funder of new music across all genres. Widely respected as an approachable, adventurous, and straightforward organisation, PRSF has supported over 2500 new music initiatives, awarding over £10 million since March 2000.

As part of the continued development of this dynamic organisation, we are offering a six month placement to a graduate who wants to learn more about the new music sector whilst developing skills in arts administration and funding policy.

The successful candidate will support the PRSF’s applications team and Communications Officer. Tasks will include documentation of funded projects online, monitoring of project evaluations and development of PRSF’s online marketing alongside basic administrative tasks and office management. This placement will enable the successful candidate to learn more about the music industry via PRSF’s links to the Performing Right Society and other organisations based at the Foundation’s offices in Berners Street. There will also be many opportunities to attend live events funded by PRSF.

We are looking for enthusiastic and efficient applicants able to demonstrate an active interest in a broad range of new music. The success of the placement will depend on the applicant’s commitment to working within a small and energetic team.

The placement is unpaid but a travel and lunch allowance will be provided.

"Working as an intern at the PRS Foundation was a fantastic experience - I really felt part of the team, and gained valuable skills working on a range of projects. Having the chance to work for an organisation that supports such varied and innovative music gave me a real insight into all the new music taking place across the UK, and it proved hugely beneficial to me in terms of my career and my own music ventures. It is an opportunity that I would recommend to anybody". Max Bondi, Graduate Placement 2005
