PRSF will welcome musicians from Hong Kong and China to Sage Gateshead in September.
This is the second phase of an exchange programme set up between The PRS Foundation and The Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong - the first phase took place in Beijing in 2004.
The project is a residency which provides creative musicians with time-out to explore creativity in collaboration with musicians from other genres and traditions. We anticipate that this exchange programme will go on to influence the future creative work of the musicians taking part and perhaps establish some longer-term collaborative relationships.
The group will also be sampling the musical life of the North East by attending events at Sage Gateshead and attending a pub folk session but will spend the majority of their time working together to learn from one another and develop new material.
The group is made up of musicians known for their creativity.
