PRS Foundation Awards to Organisations 2009

Deadline for application:
Friday 6 February 2009
Please note that this funding scheme has two levels of funding. If you are applying for the first time, you can only apply for up to £3,000. You can download the application form below. If you have previously been funded and wish to apply for more than £3,000, please email info@prsfoundation.co.uk
The PRS Foundation defines new music organisations as those organisations where new musical activity is their only or main activity. This means that across all areas of your work, we expect organisations to:
- encourage, promote and stimulate new UK music through creation, performance and promotion
- undertake a wide and integrated range of activities relating to new UK music.
- have a track record of at least one year
Your organisation must be non-commercial (i.e. a registered charity or not for profit organisation). Organisations should apply to this scheme for funds to support the whole range of their work, NOT if they are fundraising for a specific project or if they are unable to demonstrate a commitment to new music in all areas of their work.
However, you should note that
- if your main activity is promoting live gigs/concerts, you should apply to Awards to Promoters
- if you are a performance group regularly playing live concerts/gigs, you should apply to Awards to Performance Groups
- if your main activity is staging a new music festival, you should apply to Awards to Festivals
