Applications are invited from composers seeking funds to assist with professional development in the field of classical music. Applicants should be living and working in the UK. Please note that funds are NOT available for assistance with full-time, part-time, post-graduate, undergraduate studies or any activities/equipment directly relating to curricular studies.
Applications will be considered to assist with such things as costs relating to:
copying, computer hardware or software or similar resources, travel costs relating to a performance, commissioning fees* (to assist or supplement another body), as a bursary towards study at a summer school or similar (i.e. supplementary study) and to support professional recordings of new works or promotional recordings or similar projects.
(*If a composition is already being supported by the PRSF under another scheme, then further application under this scheme will not be considered.)
It is anticipated that this scheme will be highly competitive and resources are limited so please remember that a full application does not guarantee an award.
Individuals who were successful recipients of PRSF / Bliss Trust Composer Bursaries in 2007 are not eligible to apply to this scheme in 2008.
